The Office of International Affairs (OIA) represented the university at the “Ugnayan at Kumustahan: 2025 CHED Year-End Convergence of NCR International Relations Officers” organized by the Commission on Higher Education-National Capital Region (CHED-NCR). The event was held on December 4, 2025, at Life Academy International in Pasig City and gathered International Relations Officers (IROs) from higher education institutions (HEIs) across the National Capital Region.
The convergence served as a collaborative platform for IROs to strengthen institutional linkages, exchange best practices, and discuss shared challenges in advancing internationalization initiatives for 2025. It also provided an opportunity for participants to reflect on collective accomplishments, share effective strategies, and foster stronger cooperation among HEIs in the region.
During the event, ݮƵreceived recognition for its strong performance in the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) 2025, where the University demonstrated competitiveness in the categories of Technology Development, Funding for Sustainability, and Cost-Benefit Management. In acknowledgment of these achievements, CHED awarded ݮƵa Certificate of Recognition and a Frontier of Global Excellence Award plaque.
“For the ݮƵcommunity, this recognition is a testament to the collective dedication of our faculty, staff, and administration toward positioning the University on the global stage,” said Felicitas Trinidad, Director of the Office of International Affairs. “It reinforces institutional pride and encourages all stakeholders to continue striving for international competitiveness,” she added.
These recognitions underscore PUP’s commitment to visionary leadership, innovation, and global engagement. They also align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) through inclusive and innovative learning, SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by advancing technological development, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through strengthened international and institutional collaborations.
